CAREERS

WHY JOIN US?

We are actively seeking culturally competent masters and doctoral level clinicians experienced in working with children and families.

Must be a licensed Psychologist, LCSW or LCPC  in the state of Maryland.

 Professional Fees

We are currently not paneled with any managed care companies; therefore, at this time Canton Child and Family Therapy Clinic is a self-pay only practice. Please contact us for information about our fees. We provide sliding scale fees for clients who qualify.

For our clients who have health insurance:

Our therapists will be glad to provide you with a Superbill. This document must include your diagnosis (if applicable) and any other relevant information that can be useful when you submit paperwork to your health insurance company. Many managed care companies offer reimbursement for psychotherapy sessions, even if your provider is out of network. In addition to out-of-network reimbursements, your health insurance provider may be able to reimburse you for psychotherapy services through medical spending (FSAs) or through your health care savings account (HAS). Contact your health insurance provider for information specific to your plan and benefits.

For clients with no diagnosis:

Your therapist at Canton Child and Family Therapy Clinic will conduct a thorough psychological evaluation during your first appointment. One of the main functions of this initial evaluation is to determine your diagnosis; however, you may or may not have a mental health diagnosis. Many people seek therapy for life stressors and other concerns, like parenting skills, couples counseling, or grief and loss, among many others. Please note that if you do not have a DSM-5 mental health disorder and you would like to be reimbursed for your sessions by your health insurance provider, you may not be eligible for reimbursement as managed care often requires that you have a diagnosis.
